in resurfacing and decorative concrete installations including
architectural and stamped overlays, acid staining, and
epoxy coatings. Why concrete overlays? Concrete is without
a doubt the most widely used traffic surface in the world.
For centuries, plain gray concrete was accepted as a finished
exterior surface with concrete used in interior application
being covered with various floor coverings such as tile,
linoleum, wood, carpet, even paint.
Concrete overlay or
resurfacing products have been around for many decades
but the past two decades in particular have lead to advancements
in polymer emulsion composition and blends that when mixed
with the correct ratios of white cement, various silica
quartz aggregates and other components create permanent,
not temporary coatings. These coatings are generally installed
from 1/16" up to 3/8" thick, with some applications
even exceeding that thickness.
