Why should you consider having your concrete floors polished?

Because there are literally millions of square feet of concrete being polished every year in the U.S. Customers are lining up to get their floors polished because it has proven to be a viable alternative to painted, stained or epoxy floors. Polished concrete does not peel or flake off and has a high light reflectivity that actually increases the ambient light in the room or area . It will save you money on your power bill due to this reflectivity enabling you to use less lighting. A highly polished concrete floor will set you apart from your neighbors, friends or even your business competitors, giving your home and/or business a look similar to polished terrazzo for a fraction of the cost.

Polished concrete looks very expensive but is competitive with most any floor covering system including carpet or tile. Also, the floor maintenance is very minimal with daily dust mopping being the extent of upkeep necessary to keep your floor looking beautiful. We believe that polished concrete is the “floor of the future” due to it’s many benefits it affords the customer. It is healthy due to it’s ease of keeping clean, it does not harbor allergans, dirt or dust mites much like carpet or tile grout does. It is cost effective as far as the initial outlay of money at time of purchase and for long term maintenance requirements as well. Polished concrete adds up to 30% more light reflectivity which has proven to help reduce power bills and allow for less lighting requirements in those affected areas. It takes old gray concrete from “blah to beautiful” and adds value to your property!

Many people are refurbishing their homes or business and tearing out the nasty, dirt infested carpet and replacing it with polished concrete because of the benefits mentioned above. So, this is something not only for those with new floors to beautify but also for the remodelers as well ! As you can see there are many reasons to consider polished concrete for your flooring needs.
